Troubleshooting

Resolve common recording, editing, export, and sharing problems.

Start with the message shown beside the affected control. It may identify a missing permission, unsaved change, workspace limit, or processing step that must finish first.

The microphone or camera is unavailable

Check the selected device in the recorder and allow access in your browser’s site permissions. Check operating-system permissions if the browser still cannot use it. Close another application if it is holding the device.

Make a short test recording. Continue without it lets you proceed without the affected microphone or camera. You can add a scene voiceover later.

Screen recording does not start

Start from the recorder and choose a source in the browser’s sharing picker. If you cancel the picker, return to the recorder and try again. Check your operating system’s screen-recording permissions if no usable source appears.

Use a supported desktop browser for floating teleprompter and Companion features. See Record your screen.

Companion effects are missing

Open Breezier in the browser where Companion is installed and connect the site using its toolbar icon. Check that it shows ON, and reload the source tab if it was open before installation or an update.

Choose a browser tab when recording. Window and entire-screen capture do not provide Companion’s automatic effects. Browser internal pages and the extension store cannot be tracked.

A recording or upload was interrupted

Reopen the recorder in the same browser and device. Check Recover for server-saved and on-device items. Recovery is possible only when usable recording data was saved.

Keep the tab open while recovery or upload completes. Avoid clearing browser data or deleting a recovery item until you have checked the resulting video.

For a normal file upload, confirm that the file type is supported and check the message for size, duration, or workspace limits. Try exporting an unreadable presentation as PDF.

My script changed, but the voice did not

With My voice, the original recording keeps its original spoken words. A script or caption edit does not re-record that audio. Choose an available AI narrator or record a new voiceover if the wording must change, then export again.

For caption-only corrections, use Video → Captions → Correct words & timing. Changes save automatically. See Script, narration, and audio.

Edits are missing or have not saved

Edits save automatically. Check the save status and any message beside the field. Caption, framing, and publishing edits stay in the tab during a connection problem and retry when it reconnects. If saving fails, correct the reported issue and choose Retry saving. For caption, framing, and publishing fields, Use saved version discards that pending edit; in the script, Discard recovered draft does the same.

If the project changed elsewhere, reopen the current version and review it before reapplying your changes. Do not keep retrying an old suggestion when the tool asks you to generate a fresh one.

AI tools or narration are unavailable

Check Settings → AI features. The workspace may need an eligible plan, prepaid balance, or a working provider connection. The owner can check Plans & billing.

Some tools also require content: short-clip suggestions need an original recording and transcript, opening-line suggestions need a script, and subject tracking needs a video scene. Read the explanation beside the disabled control.

Export or sharing is blocked

What you see What to do
Processing is still in progress Wait for it to finish before starting another action.
Export needed or latest edits missing Save any open drafts and export again.
Approval required Ask someone with review permission to approve the current export.
No publishing controls The video owner manages publication settings.
Export needs attention Read the error, correct the identified issue, and retry when available.

See Export and download for the distinction between saving, exporting, and publishing.

Ask the video owner to check whether the publication expired, was unpublished, or the video was moved to Trash. For password access, use the current password. For Collaborators only, sign in with an account that has access.

If embedding fails, check Allow embedding on other sites. If copying fails, select and copy the displayed link or embed code manually.

A public playlist only shows unexpired videos available to anyone with the link. A private or expired video can remain in the owner’s playlist while being hidden from viewers. An unpublished or trashed video is removed from the playlist and must be published and added again.

Ask for help with useful details

When contacting your workspace owner or Breezier support at support@breezier.ai, describe the action you were taking, the visible error, your browser, and whether the problem repeats with another video. If you include a screenshot, remove private content, passwords, and provider keys first.
