Export & share

Share and review a video

Invite reviewers, publish a finished export, and control access to the watch page.

Select Share in the editor, or Review & share from a video’s menu in My videos. This page brings together the exported video, comments, review status, and sharing controls.

Invite someone to collaborate

If you own the video, use People to enter the person’s email address, choose a role, and select Invite.

Role Use it for
Reviewer Watching the export, commenting, and choosing Approve or Request changes.
Editor Editing the video, commenting, and choosing Request review. Editors cannot approve.

If an invitation link appears, copy it and send it to the intended person. They should sign in with the invited email address and follow the invitation. Use Remove to remove a project collaborator.

Workspace membership can also provide access. Removing a project invitation is not a substitute for reviewing that person’s workspace access.

Leave comments and review an export

  1. Play the exported video and pause at the point you want to discuss.
  2. Enter feedback under Comments.
  3. Use Use current time to attach the playback position, or enter seconds in At. Leave the timestamp blank for general feedback.
  4. Select Post.
  5. Use Resolve when feedback is addressed, or Reopen to continue the discussion.

Anyone who can edit the video can select Request review. Only the video owner and Reviewer collaborators can Approve or Request changes; workspace membership alone does not grant approval. When the export is out of date, make a new export before requesting approval.

The owner can enable Require approval before sharing in the End screen settings and select Save. Approval must apply to the current export before it can be published.

Choose who can watch

Publishing controls are available to the video owner. Before creating a link, expand More options and choose Who can watch:

Access setting Who can use the watch link
Anyone with the link Anyone who receives the link, including someone it is forwarded to.
Anyone with the password People who have both the link and the password.
Collaborators only Signed-in people with access to the video.

For password access, enter a password of at least eight characters. You can also set Link expires, choose whether to Show a download button, and choose whether to Allow embedding on other sites.

Select Publish with these options when ready.

Get a share link is the quick option: anyone with the link can watch, embedding is enabled, and the download button is off. Choose More options first if you need restricted access.

Turning the download button off removes that download option; it does not prevent viewers from making their own copy of content they can watch.

After publishing, use Copy beside Link and test it with Open. If embedding is enabled, copy the Embed code into a site that supports embedded players. The video’s access rules still apply.

For an end-screen button, set Button label and Button link under End screen, then Save. Publish again when the updated sharing presentation is ready.

Publish updates or revoke access

Edits remain separate from the published video. After saving and exporting changes, open the sharing Settings and choose Publish latest export. The link stays the same. Obtain approval first if it is required.

Choose Unpublish to revoke the watch link and embedded player. This stops future access through that publication; it cannot recall files someone already downloaded or recorded. Publishing again creates a new link. Unpublishing also removes the video from playlists and clears its viewing figures.

Read the viewing figures

Owners can see Views, including Opens, Plays, Watched 90%, and how far playback reached. These measure anonymous playback sessions and include repeat visits; they are not a count of unique people. The figures reset if the video is unpublished or moved to Trash.

To group published videos into one collection, see Organize videos and playlists.
