Edit & polish
Script, narration, and audio
Use your own voice, choose an AI narrator, and balance speech with music.
Choose your narration approach before doing a detailed audio pass. Keep the original recording, use an available AI voice, or record a voiceover for a scene.
Edit the script
Open Script and select the scene’s text to edit it. You can also focus a scene’s script and press Enter. Check the save status after changing the words.
If AI is available, Generate script creates a script from your video. Rewrite prepares a proposed revision you can review before choosing Apply to … scenes or Discard. Review factual claims, product names, and instructions before accepting generated text.
Editing the script does not change the words spoken in your original recording. Use a narrator or a new voiceover when the audio needs different wording.
Choose your narrator
Expand Narration in the Script panel:
| Choice | Use it when |
|---|---|
| My voice | You want to keep the original recorded audio. |
| AI narrator | You want an available synthetic voice to speak the script. |
Set Language to match the intended narration. For an AI narrator, choose a Voice and use Preview voice to hear a sample. AI narration must be available in the workspace; its usage may draw on prepaid balance or your connected provider account.
An individual scene’s Audio → Voice setting can use Video default, Original audio, My voiceover, or another available voice. Check scene overrides if one scene sounds different from the others.
Record or upload a scene voiceover
- Select the scene you want to narrate.
- Open its Voiceover section.
- Use Record and grant microphone permission, then select Stop to finish. Or use Upload audio for an existing MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, WebM, FLAC, or AAC file up to 50 MB.
- The scene switches to My voiceover. Play it to check the result.
- Check the scene’s volume and timing against the new audio.
Use Remove in the Voiceover section if you want to remove that voiceover. Keep a copy of any source audio you may want to use again.
Compare audio cleanup
Open Video → Audio. Set the noise reduction Strength, then expand Compare original & cleaned to choose the voice and sample starting point. Listen to Original and Cleaned.
Enable Reduce background noise if you prefer the result. The toggle and strength save automatically. If cleanup makes the voice sound unnatural, reduce its strength or keep the original.
When the narration uses My voice, the same Audio section offers Remove ums and uhs and Trim long pauses. Listen across the edited sections after using them so that speech still sounds natural.
Add background music
In Video → Audio → Background music, choose a built-in piano, acoustic, funk, rock and jazz, electronic, orchestral, or ambient track, or Upload a track. Music turns on automatically. Adjust Volume, use Lower it under speech when you want narration to remain prominent, and turn off Play background music to mute it. Use Remove to choose a different track. The built-in recordings are included with the app and can be used in your exported videos.
Listen on headphones and ordinary speakers. The words should remain easy to understand throughout the video. Use music you have permission to include.
Finish by exporting the latest edits and listening to the exported file.
